I’m more than a bit annoyed at the fact that Barack Obama decided to make Senator Joseph Biden his running mate for the 2008 Presidential Campain. For anyone who doesn’t remember him (or who hasn’t read my blog in an entire day), this is the guy who drafted the Anabolic Steroid Control Acts I & II , and is one of the biggest opponents Anabolic Steroids have in the United States.

And let’s be honest, all of his political targets have been “soft” victories. Who’s going to oppose a drug/steroid bill in Senate? Nobody. He got spanked every time he tried to run for a presidential nomination (2x in a row), and now, spends his time getting face-time on CNN by attacking easy targets. He was the guy (next to Sen. Waxman) who just couldn’t seem to get his fucking face off camera any time he got a chance to question an athlete during the baseball hearings.
He is not only the person who wrote the Anabolic Steroid Control Acts (which wrongly criminalized and penalized anabolic steroid posession and use in the United States), but also created the position of Drug Czar, which is just a bizarre title to give to the person who oversees the nation’s drug policy, and was part of the infamous R.A.V.E. act which was based on misinformation and sloppy research. In fact, even Johns Hopkins, who conducted much of the research the act was passed based on admits that their research was flawed. The act only passed, by the way, because he attached it to the Amber Alert bill (dealing with missing or abducted children), and was passed without public debate, hearing or vote.
He’s a lawyer, which is no real surprise, but the shocking thing is that he graduated 76th in his class….not bad for a class of over a thousand, but his class had 85 students in it. When asked how he did in law school, he publicly recalled that he graduated in the top half of his class (hey Joe, what does 85 - 76 = ?). He also claimed to have earned 3 degrees (reality: he only earned 1 B.A.) and was on full scholarship (reality: he was on a partial scholarship). Apparently, he did just as well in mathmatics as he did Law.
Oh my god, some people actually do fact checking?
While at law school he received an F for plagorizing a paper he wrote, and in his 1988 bid for the democratic presidential nomination he plagorized part of a speech and got caught. He got an F in the class and had to retake it. Actually, that’s pretty much what happened with his 1988 bid for a nomination too.
Under Joe Biden, and as a direct result of his actions, steroid users faced the worst penalties they have in history, and we lost a lot of legal alternatives too (andro, etc…). Is this someone we want having even more power? This kind of thing pisses me off.
Fuck it. The last guy I voted for didn’t fucking win anyway.
