The Florida State Attorney’s office is sending out letters to Signature Pharmacy customers
Alright, so the Albany District Attorney messed up a little screwed the pooch trying to go after Signature Pharmacy, and failed to even get the case to trial, probably ruining his career in the process. Now, it looks like the Florida State Attorney General is going to try getting in on the act.
If you were a client of Signature, you’ve either gotten (or will be getting) a letter telling you that your medical records were seized, and will be reviewed unless you file an objection within 30 days of receiving the letter.
The letter you’re looking at on the right is the one I received personally, and before you ask, yes, I’m filing an objection. I’ve got nothing to hide, and I’m sure they’re looking for Whores and not Johns, but it’s well within my rights as a citizen of Amerika to object to this happening with my records, and you can bet your ass I’m going to object. Look, I did the bloodwork, have the low LH and Test, and have a legit ’script for HRT…I’m far from concerned with my own steroid use, but rather with the direction all of this is going.
Believe me, nobody in the DEA or FBI, or any of the other agencies I regularly interview, really want to be targeting anabolic steroids instead of (for example) crack or meth. The Southwest corridor is a fucking mess, with people dying almost daily, and Mexican Cartels smuggling hard stuff through every day. Nobody wants to be fighting steroids (or even, pot, for the most part) - they want to keep the stuff that kills people off the streets.
More money wasted on battling Signature Pharmacy (uhh…ever hear of Double Jeopordy?) is just that - a waste. And since our laws state that the same defendant can’t be tried 2x for the same crime on the same set of evidence, it appears that there is now an effort underway to collect more evidence - and try the same people for the same crime (which would be legal if they collected different evidence). Anyway, I’m not letting them use my records in their case, and that isn’t going to make a difference (I know) because the average (legit) steroid user is going to just throw the letter out, along with their rights.
But not me.
